Summer is the best time to give time to your hobbies and all those activities you always wished of doing but could never take out the time. One of the summer activities that attract a lot of people is dance. People of all ages engage themselves in this beautiful art. Dance not only is a great, wholesome exercise, but also an activity that sharpens your personality and makes you more confident and proactive. Dance Intensives are a great way to spend your summers. A dance intensive is for all dancers who wish to refine their dancing, develop their technique, refresh their interest, and explore the art of dance - holistically and artistically. Just for Kix brings you dance intensives with brilliance and creativity that knows no bounds.
The new Summer Intensive at Just For Kix starts on June 21, 2011 and will last till June 24th, 2011. The venue for the intensive is the Just for Kix Studio in Baxter, Minnesota. The state of the art studio of JFK is located in the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area in Central Minnesota. It was home to over 1,000 dancers this past year and serves as the perfect facility for a great summer intensive. Lodging will be at The Lodge Hotel which is a facility equipped with a restaurant, Water Park and near local shopping! It is located across the street so dancers can walk over to the studio. The Intensive costs $425 for hotel student, $349 for commuter students.
The intensive includes over 20 hours of instruction comprising of 2-2 hour master classes. The students would be given 11 full meals. At the JFK dance Intensive you will be able to come across some of the best names in the dance industry and have an experience of lifetime. At the dance camp you are expected to bring your dance attire, undergarments (sports bras, socks, etc.), and comfortable athletic & dance shoes! (Tap, jazz, hip-hop, athletic, and possibly Pointe). It would also be good to carry a notebook and a pen, a camera, an I-pod or a CD player. You are also required to bring along a swim suit, your personal toiletries, your pre-paid calling card and/or cell phone. It is mandatory to get your signed medical release & code of conduct form (which you can do online ahead of time) and any medications you may need.
